Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Kevin Zhang
General Dentist

Growing up in a medical family, my parents ignited my curiosity and passion into healthcare from a very young age. I did all my schooling in Australia where I finished my Bachelor of Medical Science at the Australian National University and later on obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne. I have since practiced dentistry in Australia and Canada including a few years in Alberta. I then made Vancouver my permanent home, having never been to a more perfect city to spend the rest of my life in!

I'm passionate about dentistry & healthcare and committed to a life long learning journey. I stay active with multiple continuing professional education programs and study clubs and take pride in the ability to provide up to date dental care and general health advice.

My particular passion focuses on the less well-understood link between dental and systemic health. I have my researches published on the relationships among diabetes, cardiovascular conditions and periodontics and I truly believe that making a change in your oral health is to bring you general wellbeing to the next level!

Dr. Zhang practices the full scope of dentistry, from routine procedures to difficult root canals and wisdom teeth extractions. He practices minimally invasive conscious sedation for anxious patients (which is estimated to be up to 75% of the population) and children for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Dr. Zhang dedicates his utmost effort to ensure his patients have full understanding and control regarding any treatment proposed and to strives to provide a great overall experience. In fact, most of the time, Dr. Zhang’s office is filled with jokes and laughter and people overlook the fact they’re in a dental clinic. Outside dentistry his diary is filled with sports, especially basketball and scuba diving, and travelling.

Dr. Erica Wang
General Dentist

Dr. Erica spent her childhood running and playing in the green farmlands of a simple town known for its ceramic art and pottery called Ying-ge (means “warbler song”, warbler is a small songbird) in Taiwan. Infused with the unique artistic culture, it’s small town where everyone knows everyone, and many down to the earth, hard working people live. During her teenage year, her family moved to Vancouver where she pursued her passion in healthcare and completed her degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Erica loves children and their smiles. She gets the greatest satisfaction when her little patients feel so comfortable in the dental chair that they fall asleep during their dental work. She also enjoys seeing their grandparents, listening to their great stories, and she is humbled to have looked after several three-generation families as patients in her practice. Inspired by her great mentors, she strives to provide her best care through advancing in continuing education with focuses on orthodontics, endodontics, implant and restorative dentistry. With her gentle and positive demeanour, Dr. Erica wants to empower you to make informed oral health decisions and achieve your best smile.

When not thinking about teeth, Dr. Erica is most likely busy discovering the nice foods in town, practicing Namaste on her yoga mat and exploring the breathtaking sceneries of the beautiful British Columbia. She is also a passionate dog lover.
